Open to international cooperation under CERV, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, the EEA and Norway Grants, and other European programmes.
Parentis is a Romanian non-governmental organisation based in Iași, working since 2015 to make mental health and psychosocial support more accessible to children, parents and families. We combine psychological counselling, psychoeducation, parenting and early-years support, community activities, professional training and cooperation with schools, healthcare providers, social services and public institutions. In 2025, our programmes reached 1,771 people across 12 urban and rural communities, including 928 children and young people.
We are interested in equitable partnerships that connect international expertise with local knowledge and practical implementation. Parentis can contribute as an implementation partner, pilot organisation, community access point, training and dissemination partner, or contributor to research and needs assessment. We bring experience in community-based mental health, work with vulnerable families and displaced communities, child and parent participation, gender equality, violence prevention and institutional cooperation.
We are interested in accessible, community-based approaches that strengthen the emotional resilience of children, parents and families. Potential cooperation may include peer and emotional support, early identification and referral, maternal and parental mental health, support for families affected by harmful alcohol use or gambling-related harm, rural outreach and capacity building for frontline professionals.
Parentis is open to partnerships that improve prevention, identification, referral and trauma-informed support concerning domestic, sexual and gender-based violence. Our interests include professional training, community awareness, survivor-centred psychological support, stronger coordination between community and specialist services, father-inclusive family services and evidence-based advocacy for gender equality.
We are interested in approaches that enable children, young people and parents to influence the services and decisions that affect them. Cooperation may include youth participation, community consultation, inclusive education, child safeguarding, emotional and social skills, community facilitators, local advocacy and the development of accessible participation mechanisms for vulnerable groups.
We welcome discussions with civil society organisations, universities, research institutes, public institutions and international networks interested in developing inclusive, evidence-based and community-driven initiatives.
If you are developing a consortium or exploring a bilateral partnership, we would be glad to discuss how Parentis could contribute.
